Dello Russo Laser Vesion

How having LASIK helped me get through the Covid pandemic

My name is Emilia Ramirez. In January of 2020, I decided to have LASIK surgery with Dr. Jeffrey Dello Russo, of Dello Russo Laser Vision, in New York. I am someone who is considered an essential health care worker, in an ICU setting 3 days a week. Looking back on the past 2 months, I believe my decision to have LASIK may have saved my life. Before I had my LASIK, I literally lived with my eye drops, pouring them into my eyes, sometimes hourly, in order to get through my day while wearing contact lenses. I am someone who probably touches my eyes a hundred times a day without even realizing it. I also have experienced frequent eye infections since high school, resulting in frequent visits and treatments with my eye doctor.

After doing extensive research, I chose Drs. Jeffrey and Joseph Dello Russo, who have become synonymous with LASIK surgery. As my date for the LASIK procedure drew nearer, I became more and more uncertain, and were it not for a telephone call to Tatyana, my LASIK counselor, I surely would have canceled my appointment. Tatyana talked me through my anxieties, patiently answering my myriad questions, and Dr. Jeffrey continued this dialogue, during my work-up, ensuring that I was a great candidate, on the actual day of my LASIK procedure.

I chose Drs. Joseph and Jeffrey Dello Russo, after doing my research. Looking back, I am so grateful to Dr. Dello Russo for providing me with better than 20/20 vision, and for allowing me the freedom to wear my mask without annoying fogging.

Dr. Dello Russo, I thanked you the day after the procedure, and thanked you several times during my follow-ups, however, as one of the essential healthcare workers during this pandemic, I truly thank you for helping to keep me safe.
